Clarkson, Keith

Keith Clarkson was manager a the RSPB’s Bempton Cliffs  Nature Reserve until his retirement in 2018  A life-long birdwatcher, Keith studied magpies for his PhD (1985) and is recognized as an expert on visible migration. His work at Bempton helped to ensure the accessibility of this — Britain’s largest mainland seabird colony — to all. The job at Bempton “… gave me the opportunity to work on seabird research, and bring together staff, volunteers, local residents, businesses and visitors to safeguard the seabirds whilst creating one of the UK’s great wildlife destinations.” Keith is a great communicator, as was evident from his talk at New Networks in 2018.
